BREAKING: Gunmen Kill Rivers DPO
Gunmen, suspected to be cultists, carried out a brutal murder of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Rivers State, Bako Amgbanshin, on Friday evening.
The attack occurred in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state, where the gunmen ambushed and gruesomely killed Amgbanshin.
The criminals had laid an ambush for him while he was on an operation with other police officers, aiming to raid criminal hideouts in the Ahoada East region.

The source recounted that as the other officers retreated, DPO Amgbanshin bravely held his ground. In the ensuing chaos, Amgbanshin tried to flee but was hindered by a muscle cramp, allowing the cultists to capture him and take him away.
Tragically, a disturbing viral video that emerged on Friday night depicted the horrific aftermath of the attack. It showed Amgbanshin’s head, hand, and private parts severed with deep machete cuts. In the video, the gunmen chanted victory songs as the gruesome scene unfolded.
