He shared how Balak saw the star of the people of Israel, and hired Balaam, a sorcerer, to curse them. “The people were not successful yet, but he saw their star and wanted to stop them,” he said. “That is why it is risky to depend on education. It is risky to depend on skill. It is risky to depend on talent. It is risky to depend on connection.”

He also quoted Ecclesiastes 9:11, where Solomon observed the power of time and chance in success.
