Husband Sues Wife for Refusing To Disclose Her Salary And Not Been Responsible In Abuja
A husband identified as Gyang Gyang has dragged his wife before a customary court in Nyanya, Abuja for refusing to disclose how much she earns as salary.
Gyan Gyang also alleged that his wife does not submit to him and blatantly disrespects him.
He told the court that she often travels without informing him and it is only after she has left the house that he realizes she is not around.,…………………………….Continue Reading
He told the court:
“As the man of the house, my wife is supposed to tell me when she’s traveling, but she travels whenever she wants without telling me,
“I only find out she has traveled when I don’t see her in the house. She doesn’t take orders from me and she disrespects me.”
“My wife has never been a supportive wife. She left the upbringing of our children to me.
”I suffer from diabetes and hypertension. She has refused to disclose how much she earns as salary to me.”
Responding to the allegations against her, Jemima, a civil servant said her husband’s claims were false.
The Judge, Doocivir Yawe, advised the couple to reconcile, saying:
“You have been married for over 27 years. At this point where you are supposed to be enjoying your retirement and your children, you are in court seeking a divorce, please try reconciliation before judgment is passed.”
He adjourned the case to November 8.
