Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, has responded strongly to those who are trolling her online. She expressed her frustration at being burdened with the duties and responsibilities of the president, despite not holding that position. According to her, online trolls have bestowed upon her the constitutional obligations of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, without actually granting her the authority to carry out those duties effectively.
Taking to her official Twitter account, Dr. Ezekwesili highlighted the irony of being assigned these responsibilities without the corresponding power and resources to fulfill them. She emphasized that while the online trolls have conferred these duties upon her, they have not officially handed over the office of the president. Moreover, Dr. Ezekwesili attributed the blame for this situation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its members. She accused them of being responsible for the trolling and the misguided assignment of presidential duties to her.
