Many of them had married some of the Kidnappers and also given birth to children in the forest. These Chibok girls were already mothering some kids right inside the forest with the Kidnapper husbands. One of the ladies who were rescued said that when the Nigerian army came to the forest to rescue them, they ran away from the army because they never wanted to return to the town anymore. All they wanted was to spend the whole of their lives living with their kidnapped husbands inside the deep forest.

The only thing that made them come out was that the army destroyed their dwelling places and their properties in the forest, so they had no where to stay and some of the Kidnappers were killed in the process. That had given up on life outside the forest, the lady said.
