We Must Not Succumb To Their Design – Peter Obi Tells Obidients As He Set To Approach Supreme Court

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has urged his supporters popularly known as “Obidients” not to succumb to the design of the leaders of the country after he lost his petition against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday.

Recall that the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenged the victory of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja and their petitions have been struck out by the court last Wednesday. Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State has vowed to challenge the judgement at the apex court in the country.

Reacting on his verified Twitter page today, Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State said; “We set out knowing fully well that the forces we are up against are entrenched and formidable but not insurmountable. They would resist the wind of change and try to push us into surrender or despair. We must not succumb to their design.”

He stated further; “I am inspired that we have endured the odds placed in our way at every point. In such a short space of time, we have persevered to get to the point where we cannot be ignored any longer. Therefore, I urge you to abide and never think of giving up”

He added; “I wish to assure you that our recent disappointments have inspired me to re-dedicate myself to the cause of building a New Nigeria. For me, rescuing Nigeria is a lifelong commitment, and on this journey, we shall be resolute but orderly, principled but lawful”
