'We Have Been Trying To Pull Ourselves Together After Our Loss To The Obidient Movement' – Don Pedro Obaseki

According to PDP leader Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, the Edo state PDP has been striving to regroup after their defeat at the hands of the Obidient in the 2015 general election. The recent disagreement between the governor and the deputy governor, he claimed in an interview with Arise Tv news, could further jeopardise the party’s chances in the 2018 State election. He contended that the situation was indirectly caused by the Deputy Governor’s desire for greater power.

”I’m a Chieftain of the PDP both in the State and at the Federal Level,” he bragged. We lost to the Obidient movement, and in the last few months we’ve been attempting to gather ourselves back together. And this has thrown a wrench into the plans for rapprochement.

We can only hope that the Governor and his/her deputy worked out their differences quickly. The deputy governor took his case to court for an interim injunction, going public with a loaded weapon. They are now seeking an interlocutory injunction to halt his alleged impeachment, which they admit is “unprecedented” in legal terms.
