We Didn't Go To Court But We Discovered That In NW Alone, Kwankwaso Got 3.96M Votes' -Buba Galadima

Alhaji Buba Galadima, a chieftain of the NNPP, revealed that while the NNPP did not pursue legal action following the last presidential election, they found that their presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, garnered approximately 3.96 million votes in the northwest region alone.

During an interview in a video (40:27) with Channels TV on the Politics Today program, Galadima commented on Rabiu Kwankwaso’s suspension from the NNPP in response to a question posed by Seun Okinbaloye.

Galadima explained that the suspension was orchestrated by individuals who were threatened by Kwankwaso’s prominence. He noted that when Kwankwaso and his supporters joined the party, they infused vitality into it. Galadima further asserted that those responsible for Kwankwaso’s suspension were backed by sponsors, and he hinted at concealed matters within the party.

“After our analysis of the election, we chose not to litigate. We uncovered that in the northwest alone, Kwankwaso secured around 3.96 million votes. However, these numbers remain unaccounted for…”

Galadima remarked that given the events surrounding the previous election, it becomes evident that there are underlying issues in Kano. He suggested that certain individuals aimed to curtail Kwankwaso’s influence and speculated that if Kwankwaso were to maintain his political presence, it could pose a challenge for them in the upcoming 2027 elections.
