'We Are Politicians And If Not For Us, The Technocrats Won't Be Appointed' – Hon Obasa Mudashiru

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Obasa Mudashiru Ajayi has alleged that without the politicians, the technocrats won’t be appointed into office. He said in a press conference reported by TVC that the Lagos House will not be intimidated to reverse its decision to reject the 17 commissioner nominees of the governor.

He said, ”We are not going to be intimidated, we have said no and we have said no. If there is any reason for us to reverse our decision. If there is and it is germane and convincing, maybe we may but not by threats. We are politicians and if not for us, the technocrats won’t be appointed.

 It’s because we are a successful as politicians that is why technocrats are being appointed. And to our own estimation, if they have not done well, we have the right to say No. And we have said No, we are not going to be threatened. It’s good to be advised that the man living in a glass house not to throw stone.”
