Acting IGP, Egbetokun orders the detained Edo policemen to report to Abuja for further investigation

The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the detained erring policemen who used vehicles to run over a citizen in Ekpoma, Edo State, to report to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation on the matter.

This was disclosed in a statement signed and released by PPRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the official Twitter handle of Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

According to the statement, the acting Inspector General of Police, Okukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, condemned the disturbing incident where a police team ran a vehicle over a citizen on Thursday at Ekpoma in Edo State.

The. IGP has, therefore directed the erring policemen, who have been detained in Edo State, to report to the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Monday for further investigation on the matter.
