The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, recently paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina state.

According to the source, Buhari’s media aide Bashir Ahmad revealed this in an X post, late Tuesday, August 29.
He captioned the post “After Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II concluded his visit to His Excellence Muhammadu Buhari in his hometown Daura, the former leader offered to respectfully accompany the esteemed traditional leader to the Umar Musa Yar’adua airport in Katsina to bid him farewell.”
The former president also presented a royal horse to the Benin monarch during the visit to his residence.
Some photos from the Oba of Benin’s visit was shared along with the post.
In the photos, the monarch wore a royal outfit with traditional beads and a matching red cap.
It’s said that former President Buhari also accompanied the monarch to the palace of the Emir of Daura, Umar Farouq Umar.
