VIDEO: Senate In Rowdy Session Over Motion To Suspend Keyamo’s Screening

Delta State Ministerial Aspirant Festus Keyamo (SAN) has finally apologized to the Senate for failing to appear before the 9th National Assembly when he served as Minister of Works and Productivity under then-President Muhammadu Buhari.

Vanguard earlier reported that the Senate screening on Monday turned rowdy when Keyamo appeared before the lawmakers.

This was done following an order and motion by Senator Darlington Nwokocha (LP, Abia Central).

Nwokocha demanded that the examination of Keyamo be stopped because of his previous position as a minister in the National Assembly.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio called for a closed session. Immediately after the meeting, he rushed to the Villa to meet President Bola Tinubu. After that, the projection continued.

However, it was time to settle, as Keyamo apologized to the Senate, explaining that the list of beneficiaries of the N52 billion public works program was available for review.

Before being asked to leave the Senate, Keyamo apologized to the Senate and was then asked to go and sin no more. The Senate today, Monday, split into two and turned into chaos, culminating in a closed session due to the scrutiny of former Minister of Works and ministerial aspirant from Delta State, Festus Keyamo (SAN). Keyamo’s presentation went well when he explained how he fought for the rights of the Senate and that he went to court and won the test where the Senate confirms the appointment of service chiefs.
