Fagbemi Resumes Duty As AGF, Justice Minister

Having formally taken over as the 24th Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) has begun his duties.

At the time of writing, Prince Fagbemi was meeting with directors from the Justice Ministry as well as the leaders of all boards, parastatals, and organisations under his ministry.

According to the Independent, Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Justice, hailed the newest Minister as a respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), a consummate lawyer, and a prolific writer.

According to Jedy-Agba, the whole Justice Ministry staff is happy to have him as Minister and has promised their support.

The meeting’s highlight, according to The Independent, was the formal transfer of the former minister’s administrative files and the notes defining his or her duties.

He was one of the 45 ministers President Bola Tinubu installed in the Abuja presidential mansion.
