Tribunal: Tell Me How Tinubu Could Have Won The Election If PDP Had Played Its Game Well? – Lere Olayinka

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lere Olayinka, has reacted to the recent judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which upheld the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the report by Vanguard on Friday September 8, Olayinka said that it is a waste of time for the PDP to go to court to challenge the election result, as he called on the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to go and rest and allow younger people to run the party.

Olayinka, who was the PDP House of Representatives candidate Ekiti Federal Constituency II in the 2023 National Assembly election, said that the PDP had all the chances to win the election but failed to grab it because they did not put their house in order.

Speaking on Silverbird Television program, hub, on Friday, Olayinka said that instead of losing an election and then wait to go and challenge the result at the tribunal, the best thing to do is to do all you can within the ambit of the law to win.

He said – “When you chose to sacrifice five governors for a single National Chairman, you should know that the result will be failure.

“And after planning to fail, you now want the court to help you remedy your own failure? Who does that?

“Look at the President Election results and tell me how Tinubu’s APC would have won if PDP had played its game well?”
