Tribunal: "It's quite strange that Bola Tinubu visited India on the eve of the verdict" -Ezike

James Ezike, a Nigerian attorney, asserted that President Bola Tinubu’s trip to India on the night of the presidential election tribunal decision raises suspicions. Speaking about the decisions made by the judges yesterday at the PEPT, he claimed that they were predictable because no court had ever removed an incumbent since the fourth republic’s introduction of democracy.

In a conversation with Arise TV , he declared, “It’s quite strange that Bola Tinubu visited India on the eve of the verdict. Without fear of them saying he lost the election behind his back, he is in another country. But what I want to stress more than anything is that no elected president has ever suffered a Supreme Court defeat—at least not since our democracy began. And that’s worrying. Additionally, the fact that our laws have changed makes it tough to unseat an incumbent”.
