Treat Poverty Like An Army That Goes to Fight Their Enemy—Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former special assistant to the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has made a statement on his official Twitter handle as regards how poverty should be treated like an army that wants to go to war.

The statement that the Nigerian author and social media influencer released read, “Before an army goes to fight their enemy, they study that foe to understand their strengths and weaknesses and where they are vulnerable. Treat poverty like that. It is your enemy. Study it. How does it attack people? Most often, it strikes when you have no income but are reproducing children. So fight poverty by avoiding that.

The screenshot below shows the statement that Omokri made on this subject matter.

“Next, you notice that it appears when you spend more than you earn. Again, you defeat it by killing that habit”. “Then you see it raising its ugly head when you spend on wants before necessities, so you adjust”. “And you observe that when you budget, poverty budges. Thus, you always budget before you spend”.

“Finally, you notice that poverty is afraid of investments, so you invest, and it can’t infest you. When you fight poverty with your weaponry like an enemy, poverty will avoid you with energy!”
