Boss Mustapha reveals whom Buhari wanted as his vice-president, before Osinbajo emerged

According to a news that was published by The Guardian paper online this evening, it was reported that from the former secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, came the startling revelation that the former president of the country, Muhammadu Buhari, wanted Senator Adeleke Olurunnimbe Mamora to be his running mate.

While he was talking, Boss Mustapha, who spoke during a “Thank You” dinner that wasorganised by the Mr Akinbode Oluwafemi’s led Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA), that was held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), disclosed that Mamora was one of the members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) that former president Muhammadu Buhari held in high esteem.

Boss Mustapha, however did not expatiate whether Muhammadu Buhari’s preference for Mamora, was before his emergence for second term in office, or it was in the build up to the 2015 presidential poll when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was the then national leader of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC), was said to have nominated Professor Yemi Osinbajo to serve as Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate.
