Tomori & Abraham Have Only Themselves To Blame After Missing Out On The List

This afternoon, the Three Lions of England announced their final 26-man squad that will represent the country at the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Gareth Southgate, the England manager made some very controversial decisions in his squad selection as players like Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori will miss out on the finals.

Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori moved to Italian football a couple of years ago just to have the opportunity to play and stand a chance to be on the flight to Qatar, but unfortunately, they can only be at the first World Cup in the Middle East as fans and spectators.

Seeing how things have turned out for these two bright footballers, one could say they have only themselves to blame.

Considering they were both eligible to represent the national team of Nigeria instead of England due to their parental heritage, past situations like this should’ve made them realise that choosing to play for their country of birth could come with heartbreaking repercussions just like this.

Many of us Nigerians imagine what could’ve been had Tomori and Tammy Abraham chose to play for the Super Eagles.

Nigeria could’ve qualified to the finals with the quality of those two and they also would be leaders of the World Cup team because of their talent and experience.
