Femi Fani- Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has finally reacted to the list of ministerial nominees submitted to the Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, DAILY POST reports.

The President had submitted the first batch of nominees to the National Assembly for screening on Thursday last week, and the final list containing 19 names was read on Wednesday by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Members of opposition parties had mocked Fani- Kayode, a former Minister of Ation, for his absence in the lists. However, Fani- Kayode, who had been silent on the first list, has congratulated the nominees and wished them the very best in their service to the nation.

According to DAILY POST, in a tweet on Thursday morning, Fani- Kayode declared that the nominees are all excellent choices made by the President. He recognized the tasking and challenging nature of the role, having previously served as a Minister 16 years ago.

He urged Nigerians to remember the nominees in their prayers and ask God to guide them in all their endeavours as they make difficult choices for the nation and assist Mr. President. Fani- Kayode expressed confidence that God would use them to take the country to a higher level.

The list of ministerial nominees has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians, with some commending the President for his choices and others criticizing the list for its alleged bias towards certain regions.

Many Nigerians had expected Fani- Kayode to be among the nominees, given his role in the APC and his previous experience as a Minister. However, his absence from the list has led to speculation about the reasons behind his omission.
