Sit-at-Home: Share N50k palliatives every Monday – Shehu Sani proffers solution

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has suggested to the Federal and South-Eastern state governments a solution to end the sit-at-home menace crippling the economy of the region.

DAILY POST recalls that the factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, has been declaring a series of sit-at-home in the South-East zone in protest of the continued detention of the leader of the proscribed group, Nnamdi Kanu.

Senator Sani has suggested that since the sit-at-home is usually observed on Mondays, the government should start sharing N50,000 palliatives to South-East residents in market places every Monday in order to make them come out.

In a tweet on Sunday, the former lawmaker wrote, “Share 50k palliatives in the market every Monday to end sit-at-home.”

His suggestion was trailed by knocks and kudos.

IPOB only making noise, Nnamdi Kanu will never actualize Biafra – Primate Ayodele

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele said leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu will never actualize Biafra Republic.

On this note, the cleric urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release him from the detention of DSS.

Primate Ayodele, a statement issued on Sunday, explained that Nnamdi Kanu cannot actualize Biafra Republic neither can he cause a division in Nigeria because he doesn’t have the power to achieve it.

He note that IPOB members are only crying out due to marginalization which is an issue that can be easily resolved but their actions can never lead to the division of the country.

He urged President Tinubu to have mercy on the embattled leader of the proscribed organization.

“President Tinubu should look into the issue of Nnamdi Kanu and let justice prevail. I advise Mr. President to release him because he won’t be the one to divide Nigeria. He cannot even actualize Biafra Republic in Nigeria.’’

“Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB members will only make noise. They are only shouting because of marginalization which can easily be resolved, they can’t cause division in the country.”

‘I haven’t stopped crying’, Dele Alli’s mother responds to ‘heartbreaking’ interview

Dele Alli’s biological mother has said she had “no idea” that the Everton midfielder had been sexually abused as a child until his interview last week.

The Everton midfielder, in an emotional interview with Gary Neville, revealed that he was molested by his mum’s friend when he was six years old.

Alli, who since severed ties with his biological parents, moved in with Alan and Sally Hickford when he was 12 and refers to the pair as his adoptive parents.

I have not been able to stop crying since I heard my son describe the abuse he suffered as a child. I had no idea he’d been molested,” his blood mother told The UK Sun.

“I’m so sorry. It breaks my heart to think that someone I allowed into my house might have betrayed my trust in the worst possible way.

“I cannot put into words how upset I am. I no longer have contact with my son, and I only hope I’ll have the chance to see him again.”
