National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has assured that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state would soon resume duties.

Omisore gave this assurance when he paid a “solidarity visit” met with the Acting Governor, Hon. Lucky Ayedatiwa in Akure on Friday.

Omisore said the twist in the wish and prayer of the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, was regrettable.

He reiterated that the National Chairman never said the governor was incapacitated.

According to Omisore, the visit was meant to dispel the misapprehension of Adamu’s statement.

He said, “Mr. Chairman only urged people to pray for the quick recovery of your governor; not on account of being incapacitated.

“Our visit, therefore, is to reinforce the position of the national secretariat that we only prayed for the quick recovery of Arakunrin Akeredolu SAN, and not otherwise”, he said.

The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, has abandoned his vocation and has become a full time politician, says All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain Dr. Garus Gololo, with an indication that the acclaimed clergy man has drifted away from shepharding his flock to join politics as a profession.

The retired Army General said this in a chat with journalists in Abuja, expressing displeasure over Kukah’s dispositions on political issues and day to day governance in Nigeria.

Recall that the duo of former President Abdulsami Abubakar and the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Hassan Kukah, each election year champions the signing of peace accord among political parties, targeted at having peaceful pre-election, during and after elections.

According to the former member of APC Board of Director, Bishop Kukah, has failed to adopt and maintain this peaceful atmosphere they preach in Nigeria by the alleged act of meddlesomeness recorded on the daily bases.

Dr Gololo, alleged that “Bishop Kukah has abandoned his calling of keeping the flocks to being a full time politician. I am convinced that he is already making arrangements to pick forms to contest for one political positions come 2027. If not, why should a clergy man seen to be a peace maker get deeply involved in day to day governance with divisive utterances in the country”.
