Obi Is A Respectable Leader–Atiku

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abukakar, has described his counterpart, Mr Peter Obi as a respectable leader.

Atiku made the disclosure his verified Twitter handle, noting that Obi’s dedication to service and growth continues to inspire many people.

Recall that Obi was Atiku’s running mate during the 2019 presidential election.

However, while wishing Obi happy birthday, Atiku opined: “Peter Obi is a respected leader and distinguished former governor of Anambra state and presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Your dedication to service and growth continues to inspire. As you add another year today, I, on behalf of my family and team wish you many more years in good health and vitality”.

Barau Seeks Prayers For National Development

As Muslims across the world celebrate the new Islamic Year, 1445 AH, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, has congratulated fellow Muslims and other Nigerians on the New Year and the commemoration of the migration (Hijra) of Prophet Muhammad from Makkah to Madinah.

Barau, who represents Kano North Senatorial District, in a statement by his media office, urged Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of compassion, peace and support for one another as enshrined in the Islamic religion.

“As we celebrate the new Islamic Year, 1445 AH, let us reflect on the importance and historical significance of the Hijra and the overall teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and follow his examples,” he said.

The Deputy Senate President assured Nigerians of the commitment of the National Assembly to come up with legislation that would support President Bola Tinubu to deliver his campaign promises as encapsulated in the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Sustain Air Attack Against Terrorists, Commander Tells Troops

The Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force North-East tion, codenamed, Hadin Kai, has charged the air component of the military to sustain the tempo of the operation, to decimate the terrorists in the entire North-East.

Chibiusi gave the charge on Tuesday when he visited the Air Command Component in Maiduguri, Borno State in continuation of his familiarisation visit to formations and units under the theatre command.

He pledged all the necessary support to the component, to aid the command’s operational activities.

APC National Women Leader, Betta Edu, Honoured With MBNCWD Merit Award

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Maryam Babangida National Center For Women Development in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, has awarded the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu, the Award of Excellence in Leadership for gender inclusion and women empowerment.

The award was in recognition of Dr Betta Edu’s commitment to championing the cause of empowering women, children, and other vulnerable groups in Nigeria.

The award also acknowledged her spectacular role in mobilising Nigerians to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the last general election.

This comes following the renaming of the National Women Development Center on Tuesday, by First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who also joined the Hall of Fame for her distinguished service to the nation.
