Shehu Sani Condemns Government’s Reward System and Calls for Senior Citizen Health Intervention

In a scathing tweet on his official Twitter handle, former Nigerian senator Shehu Sani has criticized the Nigerian government for what he perceives as rewarding failure and ineptitude. Sani expressed his dismay at the treatment of former service chiefs who left the country grappling with terrorists, only to be rewarded with ambassadorial appointments. Similarly, the current crop of service chiefs, who have failed to address the escalating banditry crisis, have reportedly been rewarded with luxury SUVs.

Sani went on to highlight the irony of aging men seeking various herbs and teas to rejuvenate themselves, likening it to attempting to operate like teenagers. He urged these senior citizens to acknowledge when their time has passed and not burden themselves with unrealistic expectations.

Drawing attention to the importance of public health, Sani called on the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to intervene and regulate the consumption of potentially harmful substances by senior citizens.
