Nigeria Ready To Play Vital Role In G20—Tinubu Tells Leaders

President Bola Tinubu, on Saturday in New Delhi, India, expressed Nigeria’s commitment to play a major role within the G20 and contribute to shaping a more equitable world.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu said this while addressing world leaders at the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit.

He said the Nigerian leader called for global unity and cooperation in tackling pressing challenges, fostering inclusiveness, and establishing a fairer world order.

While acknowledging the vital role of the G20 in shaping a rules-based world order that promotes shared prosperity and security, President Tinubu emphasized that most of today’s pressing issues are “international in character and cannot be addressed without multilateral cooperation.”

Let’s Work As One Family—Oyetola Urges Osun APC Members

Mr Gboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Osun to work together for the development of the state.

Oyetola gave the charge in Osogbo during the presentation of the report of the 11-man committee on the repositioning of the party in the state.

The former governor had on May 1 inaugurated the committee led by Prof. Isaac Adewole, former Minister of Health.

Oyetola promised that the party would set up an implementation committee to review the recommendations and take appropriate step for implementation.

“Once the recommendations are implemented, we will have resolved to work together as a family to sustain the progress, peace and development of APC in Osun State.

“As a party, we shall continue to harness our resources to take care of the interest of the youths, women and the generality of the party members.

All parts of Nigeria will benefit from Tinubu’s administration – Shettima

The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, says all parts of Nigeria will benefit from the development stride of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Shettima gave the assurance in Maiduguri on Friday during a courtesy call on the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar-Garbai.

Shettima said the young administration was aware of the hardship Nigerians were facing and was taking steps to ameliorate it.

He said that some of the painful decisions taken by the government were products of the circumstances the nation found itself.

“Be rest assured that in the coming weeks and months, the government will unveil a lot of programmes that will tourch the lives of our people.

“We are here with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security to explore the wheat production scheme in Borno.

Nigerian troops storm Sambisa enclave, kill 6 Boko Haram terrorists

The Nigerian troops of ‘tion Hadin Kai’ North East, have killed six Boko Haram terrorists after a raid on their camp in the fringes of Sambisa Forest in Borno State.

It was gathered that the terrorists were eliminated during a fighting patrol by the troops in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and HYBRID forces on September 7, 2023, at Garin Ba’aba in Bama Local Government Area of the state.

Bama is located about 70 kilometres from Maiduguri and is also at the centre of the Sambisa forests.
