ABU VC Said He Shivered When His Colleagues Were Telling Him How They Rigged The Election- Osuntokun

A Chieftain of the Labour Party, Mr Akin Osuntokun, has disclosed that the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Professor Baya, said he shivered when his colleagues who served as returning officers during the just concluded presidential election, were boasting and telling him how they rigged the just concluded general elections.

Speaking further, Mr Osuntokun made it known that if Professors and Vice Chancellors can do such thing, what then do we expect from other Nigerians.

The Labour Party Chieftain made this disclosure when he was interviewed on Channels Television, as he was reacting to the recent call that was made by the Labour Party, for the sacking and prosecution of the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu.

He said: “Yesterday, there was a statement by the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Baya, he said his colleagues who were used as returning officers, he (Prof Baya) said he was shivered when they were telling him, almost all of them boasting of how they rigged the election. I have it here so if you are interested.”

Furthermore, he noted that all the observers confirmed that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, sabotaged the just concluded general elections.

In addition, he noted that even INEC main witness who is a pastor came to the Tribunal and refused to swear with the Holy Bible and also refused to be addressed as a pastor, noting that INEC has become a systemic crisis in the country.

It should be recalled that the Labour Party, yesterday called for immediate sack and prosecution of the INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu and Festus Keyamo, as a result of the outcome of the just concluded presidential election.
