At 62, Peter Obi Is A Respectable Leader – Atiku

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the last general election, Alhaji Atiku Abukakar, has described his counterpart, Mr Peter Obi as a respectable leader.

Atiku made the disclosure his verified Twitter handle, noting that Obi’s dedication to service and growth continues to inspire many people.

Gunmen Kill 3 In Imo

Gunmen have killed three persons in about two communities of Orogwe, Irete in Owerri west local government area of Imo state.

An eyewitness who confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri, said the attacks happened in different locations early this week.

We Have No Witness’ – INEC Tells Tribunal

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday, failed to present any witness to defend the election that produced Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.

DAILY POST reports that the candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Chijioke Edeoga, who is challenging Mbah’s victory, closed his case on Sunday.

Kano Governor Yusuf Announces New Appointments

Kano governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved appointments of heads for the state owned agencies and parastatals.

According to a Statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, those appointed are: Engr. Ado Ibrahim Umar, Managing Director, Kano Hydro Electricity Development Company (KHEDCO); Alhaji Auwalu Mukhtar Bichi, Managing Director, Kano State Investment and Properties Limited (KSIP); Dr. Farouq Kurawa, Managing Director, Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA), who was the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, before the appointment.
