Abuja collapsed building: Wike orders arrest of landlord.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike has ordered the immediate identification and arrest of the owner of a two-storey building which collapsed in Abuja on Wednesday night.

Speaking at the scene of the incident, Wike who noted that original residents of the area were designated for resettlement, however wondered why for years, the FCT Administration could not carry out such resettlement.

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Aliyu Audu the 45 ministers appointed by President Bola Tinubu were not enough.

Audu stated this while speaking in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday.

Many classrooms, no teachers – Jigawa will no longer budget for school building – State Assembly.

Jigawa State House of Assembly said it would no longer entertain any budget provision for the building of more classrooms in the state’s appropriation bill.

Chairman of the House Committee on Education and member representing the Gwaram constituency Ado Yakubu Zandam stated this on Wednesday at the Jigawa Education Accountability Forum’s media parley in Dutse.

The Secretary to Ondo State Government, Mrs Oladuni Odu, on Thursday, said she is ready to break the jinx by emerging as the first female Governor in the country in the 2024 governorship election in the state.

Odu, who stated this during a programme organised by the Correspondent Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state, said that the time is ripe for the country to produce the first female governor.
