We’ll Use My Office To Manage Our National Diversity – Ganduje

As more groups and fora press forward for a piece of the cake in President Bola Tinubu presidency, National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has assured stakeholders of the party that he would avail his office in the administration’s effort to manage the nation’s diversity.

Ganduje stated this when he received the Forum of former House of Representatives Members at the party’s national headquarters, in Abuja

He said the Ex lawmakers, whether of the 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th assembly are a reservoir of knowledge and experience that will at all times benefit the country.

The APC National Chairman stressed that the legislator, whether in or out the legislative chamber have institutional memory that can always be placed at the disposal of the country, promising to always count on their experience to strengthen the party .

“There’s no doubt we are so happy to have you here, you as members of National Assembly legislators.

‘Psychologically, you’re always nostalgic about the National Assembly and sociologically, you are bounded by esprit de corps.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen has congratulated a former Speaker of the House, Hon. Patricia Olubunmi Etteh, on her 70th birthday anniversary.

Speaker Abbas hailed Etteh for her contributions to national development through the legislature, recalling with nostalgia how she became the first female Speaker of the House.

Etteh represented Ayedaade/Isokan/Irewole Federal Constituency of Osun State at the House from 1999 to 2011, during which she served as Speaker for about five months in 2007.

“I congratulate Hon. Etteh on her 70th birthday and wish her more prosperous years ahead in good health and sound mind,” the Speaker said.

In a statement signed by Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Abbas noted that several women have been in the House and have shown their skills in leadership, governance and politics.

LAGOS – The Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Amb. Sarafa Tunji Isola hosted the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and other eminent leaders of the Igbo race at a dinner to dialogue on the promotion of peace and unity in Nigeria.

According to a statement made available to the media on Thursday, the meeting held at the residence of the High Commissioner on Tuesday in London.

Another purpose of the event was to foster familiarity between the Mission’s staff and the members of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
