Reactions After Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour Sent Greetings To 'Isese' Worshippers In His Native Language

Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, the Labour Party governorship candidate in Lagos state, recently extended greetings to all “Isese” followers.

The Labour Party candidate for governor of Lagos state addressed the crowd before presenting his platform. In his native Yoruba language, and there have been replies from internet users.

Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour began by extending his pleasantries in his own tongue before going on to praise several governors from the South West for their support of the ‘Isese’ festival. He did so by stressing the significance of the occasion. He explained that the rituals were performed to honour the rich cultural history of the Yoruba people.

He went on to say that the widespread acceptance of Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage is an indication of the country’s dedication to national harmony.
