Tinubu ‘not worried’ over election tribunal verdict – Spokesman

Ajuri Ngelale, the spokesperson to President Bola Tinubu, has asserted that his principal is not concerned about the potential verdict of the presidential election tribunal. Ngelale made this statement during an interview on Channels Television.

According to Daily Post Nigeria, the tribunal is scheduled to deliver its judgment on September 6 regarding the petitions challenging Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 election. These petitions were filed by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ngelale emphasized that Tinubu does not see the need to threaten judicial officers or raise speculations against the integrity of the judiciary. He stated that Tinubu believes in the sanctity and integrity of the Nigerian judicial system.

Tinubu remains confident that the tribunal will deliver a judgment based on the evidence presented. Ngelale expressed that Tinubu is not worried because he is certain he won the election and believes they have presented a strong case supported by evidence. Tinubu intends to ensure the continued respect for Nigeria’s institutions, regardless of the outcome of the judgment.
