Tinubu appoints Wike Minister of FCT, Umahi, Minister of Works

According to VANGUARD NEWSPAPER, President Bola Tinubu has chosen Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers state, to serve as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Additionally, he has appointed Dave Umahi, the former governor of Ebonyi state, as the Minister of Works in his administration.

In the latest announcement, President Bola Tinubu has unveiled his ministerial appointments, designating Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Furthermore, Dave Umahi, who previously held the position of governor in Ebonyi state, has been selected to take on the role of Minister of Works in the new government.

Recall that, In accordance with the constitution, President Bola Tinubu has nominated 28 individuals to assume ministerial positions, among them being Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna, and Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers. The announcement of these nominees was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a plenary session held on Thursday. This move adheres to the constitutional provision that mandates the president to appoint ministers within 60 days of assuming office.
