Those saying President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is Buhari Pro Max are ignorant- Daddy Freeze

In a recent Facebook live broadcast, Daddy Freeze addressed the issue of the increased fuel pump price (N617/litre) in relation to Mr. Peter Gregory Obi from the Labour Party.

According to Daddy Freeze, if Mr. Peter Gregory Obi had become president, he believes Obi would not resort to selling Anambra state to pay for fuel subsidies. This statement was based on the fact that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu faced a similar situation, with no allocation for fuel subsidy during his tenure, suggesting that Obi or Atiku Abubakar would have likely encountered the same challenge. Daddy Freeze emphasized that without a budget allocation for fuel subsidies, any potential leader wouldn’t be able to perform miracles in that regard.

Also, Daddy Freeze sought to dispel the notion that President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is solely responsible for the increased fuel pump price. He argued that blaming Tinubu for this situation is unwarranted, as it is not his fault. The social commentator highlighted that there are ignorant people who label Tinubu as “Buhari pro Max,” implying a connection between Tinubu and the current administration’s policies.

In his words, “I also want to point out here that those saying President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is Buhari pro Max are ignorant. The increased fuel pump price is not Tinubu’s fault so he should not be blamed for it.”

Daddy Freeze clarified that he is not defending Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu but rather aiming to provide a balanced perspective. He disagreed with Tinubu’s decision to deregulate the dollar but acknowledged its importance in the long run, though not an urgent matter. Freeze urged people to think critically and not let sentiment cloud their judgment when discussing political matters.

He responded to those calling for Tinubu to reduce the cost of governance. He reasoned that implementing such measures immediately upon assuming office might not be practical. He suggested that Tinubu couldn’t drastically cut costs within just a month or two, as this could potentially impact the ability to supply fuel at a subsidized rate of one hundred and eighty-seven naira.

Daddy Freeze expressed his opinions on the fuel pump price and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies. He highlighted the importance of budget allocation for fuel subsidies and the need for critical thinking when discussing political matters. While he disagreed with certain decisions made by Tinubu, he also advocated for a more nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by political leaders.
