'There Is Nothing Tinubu Will Be Gaining By Getting Rid Of Adamu As Chairman' – Muiz Banire

A Former APC National Legal Adviser, SAN Muiz Banire has alleged that President Bola Tinubu will be gaining nothing by influencing the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as National Chairman. He said in an interview with Channels Tv that Tinubu had the highest authority over the party from the moment he emerged as President. According to him, there is no way Adamu could have succeeded in fighting against the decisions of the President if he wasn’t in support of it. 

He said, ”There is nothing Tinubu will be gaining by getting rid of Adamu as Chairman. Even if he did not support him at the National stage. The reality of the situation of APC is that the President is usually the Leader of the party. So Adamu cannot impact on the Presidency, but I believe that the structure of NWC led to his exit as chairman. But then you also need someone who is loyal to your ideas and objective. But the reality of the matter is that if Senator Adamu had continued in office, he cannot influence the Presidency.”
