Phillip Omodeni made this remark during an interview at about the 6th to 7th minute when he was responding to questions on how the current crisis in the people’s democratic party could affect electorates in their considerations for the PDP in the 2023 elections.

Responding to the question, Omodeni noted that the lingering crisis in the people’s democratic party could give the party some sympathy votes in 2023.

You will recall that the people’s democratic party has been having an internal crisis following the convention that produced the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the emergence of the vice presidential candidate of the party.

Some members of the party including governor Nyesom Wike and other stakeholders in the people’s democratic party especially in the South have called for the resignation of the party national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu before they could align with the party ahead of 2023.
