The Igbos should reflect on why individuals are being drawn to the Yorubas and Ijaws — Asari Dakubo.

In a recent Facebook live video, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo, a former Niger-Delta militant, expressed his views on the Igbo people in Nigeria.

According to him, while the Igbo claim to be the best in everything, there are still many individuals who deny being Igbo. He pointed out examples such as General Lucky Irabor and former international footballer Sunday Oliseh, who both clarified that they are not Igbo.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo suggested that the Igbo people should reflect on why there is a trend of people gravitating towards the Yorubas and Ijaws in the southern zone, rather than towards them.

In his words, “I believe that the Igbo people should reflect on why individuals are being drawn to the Yorubas and Ijaws within the southern region, while avoiding them.”

He also highlighted that many tribes have joined the Ijaw nation due to its identity, while some minority tribes are not willing to identify as Igbo, raising the question of why this is the case.
