The National Executive Committee of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has expelled Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, following his alleged refusal to appear before the party’s Disciplinary Committee

Mr Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq, the Acting National Publicity Secretary of NNPP, said in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos, that the NEC had expelled Kwankwaso with immediate effect because of his refusal to honour the committee’s invitations.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said he tried to get Nigeria’s oil refineries working but was not successful and suggests President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s plan to do the same will not work.

“Someone told me Tinubu said refineries would work by December. I told the person the refineries would not work. This is based on the information I received from Shell when I was president”, Obasanjo revealed this during an exclusive interview with TheCable.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike has vowed to collect over N34 billion owed the FCT administration.

Wike made the vow while speaking to members of the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee to Investigate Failure of Mass Transportation in Nigeria, during a working visit in his office, yesterday.

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport second runway due in 12 months – Keyamo.

The Minister of Ation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed that construction works on the second runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja will commence and finish within 12 months.

Speaking at the Airport on Tuesday while on an inspection, Keyamo said the recent meeting between the Ation ministry and the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory paved the way for the commencement of work on the Project.
