PEPT: Anyone Who Expected That What We Saw Yesterday Wasn't Meant To Be Seen Is Not Realistic' -Reef

According to the Sun paper, Simeon Reef, Co-Founder of Foremost Magazine, has recently expressed his views on the recent judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. In a recent interview, he was asked to react to the tribunal’s decision regarding the case involving Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, and APM against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Reef stated, “It’s unrealistic to expect that what we witnessed yesterday should not happen. The presidency is often seen as the most coveted position, and everyone strives to hold it for four years. Even if a man doesn’t intend to continue in the position for the next four years, his associates will ensure he retains it at any cost.”

He expressed hope that the matter would reach the Supreme Court. However, he cautioned that based on what occurred yesterday, it’s unlikely that there will be significant differences in the outcome, highlighting the unfortunate reality where the courts decide the fate of elections.
