The Aso Villa That Sits The President Is Not In Abuja's Master Plan; It Must Go Down – Daniel Bwala

A former spokesperson for the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Daniel Bwala, has faulted the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for insisting that he would go ahead with the demolition of structures that are distorting the Abuja Master Plan; as the former PDP PCC spokesperson maintained that the Aso Rock Presidential Villa should also be demolished because it was not captured in the original Master Plan of Abuja.

Daniel Bwala had said, “The Aso Villa, that sits the President; the seat of power, is not in the original Master Plan; it must go down.”

The former PDP PCC spokesperson, who spoke during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, said there are important steps that Wike should have taken as the Minister of FCT aside demolishing structures. According to him, the FCT is not the ministry works, but rather, an administration; hence, steps should be taken to improve the lives of citizens.

Bwala maintained that even though he has no doubt that Wike is the best person to be FCT Minister, taking steps to bring down structures should not be encouraged. He had also found fault in the statement by the Rivers bigwig that nobody in the PDP could remove him. The PDP Chieftain maintained the the former Rivers governor would be expelled from the PDP at the appropriate time.
