Reactions As Tinubu Added The Name Of Festus Keyamo To List Of Ministerial Nominees Sent To Senate

The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has added the name of Festus Keyamo to the ministerial nominees.

Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress had earlier sent the second batch of the ministerial nominees to the upper chamber of the national assembly. The second list was sent to the red chamber of the national assembly by the former Speaker of the House of Representatives and incumbent Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Some of the Ministerial nominees sent to the upper chamber of the national assembly include former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, immediate past Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, former Governor of Plateau State and former Governor of Yobe State, Gaidam and many others.

The new person which is now included in the list, Festus Keyamo is the Spokesperson for the defunct All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council. He was a Minister of State for Labour and Productivity during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to NTA on its verified Twitter page, it says “PRESIDENT TINUBU COMMUNICATES SENATE withdrawing the nomination of Maryam Shetty as a ministerial nominee, replacing it with Mairiga Mahmud. The President also adds Festus Keyamo as a ministerial nominee.”
