Orji Uzor Kalu Reveals Why He & Other Former Govs Visited Bola Tinubu In Aso Rock Today (Photos)

The former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has reacted after he and other former Governors that were elected in 1999 visited the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja today.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in on the 29th of May, 2023.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, the 2023 presidential election was won by the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He defeated other strong contenders including Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party to clinch the apex political seat in the country.

Some of the former Governors that visited the President include Niyi Adebayo of Ekiti State; Bisi Akande of Osun State; Joshua Dariye of Plateau State; Ahmed Yerima of Zamfara State; Jolly Nyame of Taraba State; Olusegun Osoba of Ogun State as well as Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto State and many others.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu said; “My colleagues and 1 (class of 1999 Governors) paid a visit today to the President, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is also a member of the class at the presidential villa. We visited to express our solidarity and support to Tinubu’s led Federal Government of Nigeria”
