"PEPT Judgement does not serve electoral justice, it serves the interest of the 'elected' –Sam Amadi

Dr Sam Amadi, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), has resorted to his X handle, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal’s (PEPT) decision on Wednesday.

In a statement on the judgement, Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social Sciences, stated that the decision of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) did not serve electoral justice.

On that line, Sam Amadi closed his remarks by stating that the judgement of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) promotes the interests of the ‘elected’ and the worst form of technicality.

Sam Amadi wrote the following in his statement:

“The judgment of the PEPT does not serve electoral justice. It serves the interest of the ‘elected’ and the worst kind of technicality.”
