Tension As Amotekun Storms Forest After Gunmen Abducted 32 Travellers, See What They Found

32 individuals have been taken hostage by armed men, suspected of being kidnappers, in Ondo State,

It was reported by some eye witnesses, that the incident took place over the weekend in Benin City, Edo State, where it was revealed that all 32 victims were on their way home from a funeral service.

Responding to this incident, officials of the Amotekun Corps quickly began scouring the Benin- Ifon to Owo forest for the people who had been kidnapped.

The incident, which was officially confirmed by Adetunji Adeleye, the commandant of the corps in the state, stated that the command will do everything in its power to rescue the victims.

According to Adeleye, in order to facilitate the release of the victims, the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies were made aware of the situation and immediately began a search and rescue operation.

It could be recalled that few months ago, some members of the Ondo State Security Network Agency were able to save the lives of six National Youths Service Corps NYSC Scheme participants who had been kidnapped while traveling to Kaduna state for the mandated National Youths Service Corps NYSC Scheme.
