Primate Ayodele: There will be nothing like a military coup in Nigeria again from now till eternity

According to a report by the Independent paper on September 3, 2023, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has conveyed a message of assurance to the Nigerian federal government.

He predicts that there won’t be any military coup in the country, as God has intervened to prevent such an occurrence. Instead, he anticipates a different kind of change in the political landscape.

Primate Ayodele: ‘’There will be nothing like a military coup in Nigeria again from now till eternity, anybody sponsoring or planning it will fail. The only coup that will come up in Nigeria is a political coup where people will use their votes to reject any candidate they don’t want.’’

He advised the federal and state governments not to be alarmed by the prospect of a coup but to focus on diligently serving the interests of the Nigerian populace.

He emphasized that the political coup applies to both national and state governments. According to him, the only coup Nigeria should expect is one where citizens exercise their democratic rights to hold leaders accountable for their actions or inactions.
