Tinubu's Rivers Win: You Might Hijack Results In A Day But You Don't Win In A Day – Cole To Wike

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, has hinted that former Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not play any role in the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election in the State; as he maintained that Wike could only hijack results in a day but not win in a day.

Pastor Cole had said, “You don’t win something in a day; you might write and hijack results in a day but you do not win in a day.”

Tonye Cole, who spoke during an interview on Channels Television, suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the February 25, 2023 Presidential election in Rivers State because of the works that the State Chapter of the party had done. According to him, the ruling party would have won the contest without Nyesom Wike’s help. He revealed that the Rivers bigwig rigged the contest to favour President Tinubu because of his personal interest.

The APC bigwig revealed that Wike hijacked the contest to negotiate for his personal ambition. According to him, Wike deceived President Tinubu into making him believe that he worked for his success. He went further to hint that the ruling party defeated the main opposition party in Rivers but Wike manipulated the results to impose his candidate.
