The Premier League champions looked shaken at St. James’ Park last month because Newcastle played with no fear.
United were too easy to beat and often lacked creativity upfront. But since the Dutch took over, the mentality in the dressing room is gradually changing and recent performances have been pleasing in that regard.
The pressing has been efficient, midfield duels have been won, challenges for the ball have been spirited and it has been a far cry from the darkest days of last term. United are playing aggressively and they’ll need that mentality on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester City are more vulnerable when teams pressed them and showed aggressiveness on the ball and that is something to exploit.
