Social media blast Tinubu as he says it is an insult to mention Funke Akindele’s name in his presence(Screenshot)

Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has caused and stirred several mixed reactions from internet users hitherto with a statement made during a political campaign while he was responding to a song composed by the party’s supporters.

Some of the supporters of the APC Presidential Candidate were heard comparing award winning Nollywood Actress and the People’s Democratic Party deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele to an ant in his presence while having a meeting at the party’s secretariat.

The song which was sang in Yoruba was used in comparing the Nollywood Actress to be an ant in the presence of the former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as in the presence of the incumbent Governor, Babajide Sanwolu who is also up for a re-election.

Addressing the gathering and in reacting to that, Tinubu made it known that they should not even bother to mention the name in his presence as it could be seen as an insult and abuse on his personality.

“Don’t even behave as if you remember that name and don’t bother to mention her name in my presence. It is a big insult and it is disrespectful. A fowl wants to enter a house and it is bending, how tall is it in the first place”.

This has caused several people reacting to this until this time since the statement was made as this was seen as a political jibe by many while some others said they could not blame anyone for the statement, as some of these Nollywood celebrities also run campaigns for the politicians from time immemorial.
