All the Francophone Countries In West Africa Are Compelled To Use French Currency – Zain Conjy Alleges

According to Ibrahim Zain Conjy, a Socio-Political Analyst, he alleges that all the French-speaking nations in West Africa are obligated to utilize the French currency. In an interview with Arise Tv news, he asserts that France continues to exert significant influence over the nations it colonized. He contends that even though many African nations gained independence years ago, they still exhibit submission to their former colonial rulers.

Zain Conjy points out that France’s dominance over the Francophone nations encompasses various domains including economics, social matters, politics, security, and justice. He notes that despite France’s declaration of granting independence to these countries in 1960, the reality suggests otherwise. He argues that France maintains an overarching level of control over these nations, impacting their decisions, economies, and even military affairs. Furthermore, he highlights that all the West African Francophone countries are mandated to adopt the French currency, and their foreign reserves are stored in the French Central Bank.

By 1960, France claimed that they gave Independence to those countries. But actually, it was on a paper. In reality, France is still fully in control of these countries. In their decisions, in their economy, and even in their military. All the Francophone Countries in West Africa are compelled to use French Currency. And the Foreign reserves of these countries are kept in French Central Bank.”
