Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has urged party members in the state to forgive those who worked against the party and concentrate on delivering good governance.

This is as he said he will work as much as he dances, saying his dancing is his way of praising God for the grace of his life.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders to nominate a replacement for the late Zonal Vice Chairman of the party, Soji Adagunodo, the Governor said the party must embrace those returning to the fold and build the party for future victory.

He added that even as a governor, he believes in party supremacy and would ensure party discipline in all activities, including the appointment of caretaker committee members into the local government administration in the state.

Immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, and former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, met President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja ostensibly to discuss the refusal of the Senate to confirm El-Rufai’s ministerial nomination by the President.

El-Rufai and Wike were among the 48 ministerial nominees sent to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

The Senate, however, confirmed 45 out of the 48 ministerial nominees, citing security checks as the reason for the refusal to confirm the remaining three. Among the unconfirmed three was El-Rufai.

His visit to the President on Wednesday was two days after the Senate failed to confirm him as a minister-designate.

The South-South Zonal Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, has cautioned Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, against blaming the federal government for what he termed the glaring infrastructure decay in the state.

A statement recently signed by the Special Adviser on Media Projects to the Governor, Crusoe Osagie, had accused the federal government of being responsible for the deplorable state of federal roads in the state.

It had also blamed the current massive suffering faced by the people as a result of the removal of petrol subsidy which led to the skyrocketing of the price of the essential commodity on President Bola Tinubu’s policies.

However, Agbomhere in a statement he personally signed yesterday, accused the governor of finding a convenient way of putting the blame of his alleged failure on the less than three months old Tinubu’s administration.
