Shettima Leads Heavy APC Delegation To Presidential Tribunal

Vice-President Kashim Shettima led top All Progressives Congress (APC) dignitaries to the Appeal Court, venue of the presidential tribunal, on Wednesday.

The tribunal will deliver judgment on three cases challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.

This decision was made roughly a month after the court heard the parties’ final arguments in the petitions and about two weeks before the statutory 180-day deadline for hearing and deciding the cases filed in March.

The country’s number two man is currently sat in court alongside other important APC chieftains, including Festus Keyamo, the ation minister, Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser, and Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman.

In court, at least four APC governors have been seen. They are Hope Uzodinma (Imo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), and Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa).

Alongside members of the Labour Party, prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by acting National Chairman Iliya Damagum, are present in court. According to Daily trust.

Multiple security personnel from the military forces, police, men from the Department of State Service (DSS), and the Civil Defence are manning all of the roads leading to the court of appeal complex.
