Shehu Sani Reacts to Ex-governor, Mohammed Badaru's Appointment as Defence Minister by Tinubu.

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Sani has taken to social media to air his opinion, following the decision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to nominate former governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru as the new Minister of Defence.

Recall that APC chieftain, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had few hours ago, released the different ministerial offices that will be occupied by the 45 confirmed ministerial nominees, with the likes of former governors, Nyesom Wike, Mohammed Badaru, Simon Lalong, Adegboyega Oyetola, Dave Umahi and Bello Matawalle appointed as Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Defence Minister, Minister of Labour and Employment, Minister of Transportation, Minister of Works and Minister of State, Defence respectively.

However, following ex-governor, Mohammed Badaru’s appointment as Defence Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani took to his official Twitter account to react, as he stated that in view of the security challenges faced by Nigeria, he thought the Defence Minister should be a retired Military officer with experience and records of accomplishments.

Shehu Sani finally stated that the office of the Minister of Defence should not be political, especially at this time.
